The Xscend surpasses typical power system capabilities by providing a high degree of flexibility and scalability in its Rectifier, Distribution and Controller/Monitor module. Scalable, flexible system components provide numerous system configuration options:

One - Controller/Monitor Programmable to monitor essential system functions and interface with alarms that identify problems before they become system critical. Examine data locally via LCD readout or log data and monitor/control remotely via SNMP interface module. Battery and function test algorithms simplify periodic system maintenance analysis.
Two - Rectifier Power Shelf Multiple bays accept both pluggable rectifiers and breaker distribution modules in a low profile 2 RU 19" or 23" architecture. Scale up redundant systems by using multiple rectifiers, route power to system loads with distribution modules and parallel shelves to increase output power.
Rectifier Features
• High power density in 2 RU package
• Available in 48 or 24 volt output
48 volt: 1600 watts (32 amps)
24 volt: 1400 watts (56 amps)
• Hot swap architecture; add or replace modules quickly while system continues operating
• Numerous front panel LED indicator/alarms plus contacts for external alarm
• Wide input operating voltage range; 185-264 VAC; Derate rectifier to 675 watts for 115 VAC operation.
• Active load sharing
Rectifier Power Shelf Features
19" shelf: Four bays
• All bays accept rectifiers, one bay alternatively accepts circuit distribution module
• Maximum power fully populated with rectifiers:
48 volt: 128 amps (6400 watts)
24 volt: 224 amps (5600 watts)
23" shelf: Five bays
• All bays accept rectifiers, two bays alternatively accept circuit distribution modules
• Maximum power fully populated with rectifiers:
48 volt: 160 amps (8000 watts)
24 volt: 280 amps (7000 watts)
Parallel up to four shelves to meet higher power requirements
Controller/Monitor Features
• Monitors all major system conditions: Rectifier voltage, current and temperature; battery voltage
capacity and temperature; circuit breaker status
• Programmable to auto-activate: temperature compensated battery charging; periodic battery
load/capacity testing; low voltage disconnect; event data logging
• Over 15 different user-programmable alarm conditions and set points
• Local monitoring via front panel LCD or laptop computer via RS-232 Serial Port (software required)
• Remote monitoring via optional Ethernet interface through SNMP and/or TCP/IP
Distribution/Disconnect Features
Shelf Mount Distribution Module
• Slides into specially configured shelf bay in place of rectifier; 19” shelf accommodates one module;
23” shelf accommodates, one or two modules
• 5 load and/or battery breaker capacity per module
• Internal low voltage battery disconnect
Rack Mount Distribution Panel
• 21 load breaker and 4 battery breaker capacity
• Front-access wiring and plug-in breakers for easy system expansion
• Integral low voltage disconnect
